Gold Nurseries plant seeds, cuttings, and liners directly in the nursery rows
at our various growing grounds to grow a variety of rootstocks and seedlings.
Each seed, hard wood cutting and liner is planted by hand for quality assurance.
Sierra Gold maintains its own certified seed and cutting source orchards for
a ready supply and, again, for quality assurance. Planting takes place in the
fall, winter and spring. Seeds will stay dormant all winter and germinate in
the early spring. These seedlings will grow all spring and then be budded to
a variety of fruit or nut during the late spring.
