Established in 2016, the mission of the Sierra Gold Nurseries molecular biology lab was to provide in-house genetic testing in support of greater nursery operations. We employ a staff of experienced technicians and use state-of-the-art tools with industry-standard protocols to ensure we are taking all necessary steps to provide our growers with best-in-class, true-to-type, and disease-free trees.

We take quality control seriously at the nursery and have made considerable investments to be able to screen for up to a dozen different plant pathogens as well as using genetic fingerprinting to avoid any off-type mistakes.
